Last night, we had dinner with
Ryan McGinley and his brother, who is a good friend of the family. He was in town visiting after shooting in Asheville, NC and before heading out to Istanbul. He also just photographed
Lady Gaga for the next cover of
Rolling Stone. I got to see the pre-release photo on his iPhone - terrific lighting.
Ryan is an internationally known photographer, and his images have exhibited in London, New York and beyond. His work can be controversial, but you have to admit, it's pretty freakin' awesome. Check out his website
