Volunteer | Elevation Worship

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to serve my church by taking photos of one of the worship experiences at Elevation Matthews. It was a very exciting experience, and my favorite part was attending rehearsal and then feeling that energy amplified during worship. We have an extremely gifted pastor, band and staff that delivers the best of the best every week.

Here are just a few of my favorite photos.

Weddings | Morgan & Jeremy | Oakley United Methodist Church & The Century Room at Pack's Tavern - Asheville, NC

Last Saturday, the mist & fog cleared just in time for the marriage of Morgan & Jeremy. Morgan & Jeremy live in Charlotte, but they were wed at Oakley United Methodist Church, the same place Morgan's parents were married and she was baptized. The ceremony was complete with many friends and family members present, as well as two officiants.

After the ceremony, the party started at The Century Room at Pack's Tavern where Orange Krush rocked all night. I had a blast with all the wedding guests, especially once people started putting on the wax lips (below)!

It was a very memorable wedding and everything went smoothly thanks to my assistant shooter, Erin.

Morgan & Jeremy, I wish you the best! You & your families were so much fun. I was honored to be a part of your wedding day.

Enjoy some of my favorite photos...

Orange Krush rocking it (below)! A band was definitely the way to go.

A moving toast from the groom's family welcoming Morgan as one of them (below).

One of the groomsmen was sitting at the table behind the ladies & caught the bouquet. There was a "do-over" and the junior bridesmaid caught it on round two (below).

The wax lips were so much fun (below)! I even wore a pair myself :)

Weddings | Casey & Ben - Covenant Presbyterian & The Palmer Building

Last Saturday was sunny and warm (ok, HOT) for Casey & Ben's wedding. Their ceremony was at Covenant Presbyterian Church near Uptown and the reception was held at The Palmer Building. Catherine and Tim at Covenant did an excellent job making sure everything ran smoothly for the ceremony.

The wedding details were classic and personal. There were photos of the bride and groom carefully placed at the reception to document their relationship from college to marriage. The bride even hand-made coasters to double as place markers and favors. I was especially touched that there was one at my seat as well.

I enjoyed working alongside Chad of Echo Unlimited and Patrick of Abernethy Videography. And, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the bride & groom's family and friends. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. I could not ask for better clients.

Wishing you all the best,

Hayley

Just look at the smile on Ben's face. He was lit up from ear to ear when he saw his bride (below).

Covenant Presbyterian Church is gorgeous. We had to get a shot of the happy couple outside to capture the grandeur of it (below).

Handmade details by the bride (below). Guests threw bird seed from cones made of sheet music. Since Casey and Ben met when he was her piano accompanist for voice lessons, it was only appropriate.
Casey and her dad had a very emotional first dance (below).

This little girl's dad told me she just started taking dance lessons a year ago. She was shaking it on the floor all night with no fear. Later, she confidently picked up the microphone and sang along to several songs (below).

A seeded sendoff for the couple as they say goodbye to family and friends (below).
