Beautiful Bella | Babies

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting baby Isabella. She was born 6 weeks early and just turned 5 weeks old.  With the help of Mom, Dad, big sister and aunt, we were able to capture some tender moments with this little sweetheart! 

After almost 1,500 photos taken, here are a few of my favorites (I love them best in black & white).

Since I don't yet have children, Jack is always my test model for new equipment. He knew how much Mommy wanted to see what the new lens could do, so he obliged and gave me his best pouty face.

My husband played assistant (camera right) and got Jack to 'smile.'

Personal | Workshop From Heaven - Part Two

Richard Israel's workshop was a blast. The second day ended with a group portrait and hugs goodbye. I could not be happier that I was a part of this and I will always remember his desire to teach and create beautiful images.

Personal | Workshop from Heaven!

AHHHHMAZING! I am not usually an ALL CAPS girl, but I have a lot to be excited about today! It was day one of a two-day wedding photography workshop with the brilliant Richard Israel. I took the one-day version of this workshop two years ago, and it was enlightening to compare where I am now to where I was then. The atmosphere was so positive and all the photographers had a different story to share. I left feeling very inspired to learn & grow as an artist and person. Tomorrow, we will do some on location shooting and I can't wait!

Kids & Teens | Santee, SC Shootout

Greetings & happy Sunday! Yesterday, I took a drive down to Santee, SC to meet up with several fellow photographers and create some beautiful images. We had lots of models to play with us and here are a few of my favorite images.

Chelsea (below) was up for anything - even lying down in a field while wearing a dress!

The kids were just precious! Some took more time to warm up, but finding what made them smile and capturing it was well worth running through the grass and making fools of ourselves.

{Kids} Sweet Jack

This afternoon, I saw sweet Jack for the first time since he was just 4 months old, and my, has he grown!  He has the sweetest smile too - such a happy boy. The family is moving out of state soon and wanted to have some photos taken before they go. I was honored that they asked me to document this time in their lives.

{Babies} Baby, Be Mine!

Lately, nothing makes me more giddy than reviewing my images from baby photo shoots, and today was no exception! Baby Lucas was (mostly) all smiles as he played cupid in the studio. Don't those eyes just melt your heart? Happy almost Valentine's Day!
